Iran scolds Europe for stunning captivity to Israeli lobby

Iran has lashed out at Europe for its "stunning captivity" to Israeli lobby groups and its failure to stop Tel Aviv from violating the international law.

"Stunning is Europes captivity to Zionist lobby," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi tweeted on Friday.

The spokesman said Europe has historically failed to stop Zionist regimes violation of the international law including its suppression of Palestinians and its annexation of lands, committed in the name of ensuring Israels security.

"Why afraid of referendum in Palestine as a lasting solution?" he asked.

Mousavis comments came in reaction to a recent spate of propaganda by Western media about a poster that appeared on the website of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei proposing "referendum" as the best way to end Israels occupation of Palestinian territories and the final solution to the issue of Palestine.

Since the publication of the poster on Ayatollah Khameneis website on Wednesday, some Zionist-sponsored international media have been trying to draw an analogy between the term "the final solution" on that poster and the Nazi idea of extermination of Jews during World War II.

Some Western and Zionist officials also moved fast to come up with such baseless charges, most prominent among them being US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who went as far as threatening Iran with destruction.

In reaction to the unfounded accusations, Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the final solution pointed to by Ayatollah Khamenei was a fair referendum attended by all original peoples of Palestine regardless of their ethnic and religious background.

"Disgusting that those whose civilization found a ‘Final Solution in gas chambers attack those who seek a real solution at the ballot box, through a REFERENDUM," Zarif said, re-sharing the poster.

He further asked, "Why are US and West so afraid of democracy?" asserting, "Palestinians should not have to pay for your crimes, or for your guilt."

Jews must rise against Zionism ‘disaster: Iranian Jewish MP

The representative of the Jewish community at the Iranian Parliament has called on the worlds Jews to rise against and denounce a disaster named "Zionism", just as Muslim people rise against figures such as Osama Bin Laden, who take advantage of religion.

"The Zionist regime seeks to take advantage of the Jewish religion, and is not committed to any of its principles," Siamak Moreh Sedgh noted.

"Therefore, it is both a humanitarian and a religious duty for all Jewish people across the world to stand up to this regime," the lawmaker added.

Millions of people are participating in worldwide events marking the International Quds Day, which this year revolves around the online #COVID1948 campaign to raise awareness about the plight of the Palestinian people at a time the public opinion stands preoccupied with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, as it has been tradition since a historical decree by founder of Irans Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979, saw activists express their solidarity with the people of Palestine in unique ways after annual demonstrations were called off due to COVID-19 fears.
